Heinrich Klaasen has emerged as one of the most destructive middle-order batters in white-ball cricket, particularly renowned for his dominance against spin. The world took notice of his talent in the 2023 ODI World Cup, where Klaasen smashed 373 runs for South Africa at a strike rate of 133.21. His knock of 174 off 83 balls against Australia in Centurion is the third highest ODI score batting at number five or below. Klaasen had a modest start in the TATA IPL with RR and RCB but found his groove with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023. In fact, he has been a pillar in SRH’s middle order, scoring over 400 runs at a strike rate above 170 in each of his three seasons with the franchise.
