A tall all-rounder from Tamil Nadu, Washington Sundar began as a left-handed batter but made a name for himself with his economical off-spin bowling. His journey began in the 2016 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup and he made his TATA IPL debut with Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. Washington then moved to RCB (2018-2021) and SRH (2022-2024). Apart from IPL, he has represented India in all formats, contributing with both bat and ball. Some of his key performances include an 11-wicket haul against New Zealand in a Test match, important knocks in India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy win in 2020/21, and being part of the Indian squad that lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Gujarat Titans acquired him for INR 3.2 Crore at the 2025 TATA IPL Auction, and his experience and all-round skills will yet again be crucial for the team heading into the 2026 season.
