Aniket Verma, a 24-year-old right-handed batter born in Uttar Pradesh, is a product of raw power and promise. Despite featuring in two domestic T20 seasons for Madhya Pradesh, he had limited opportunities in his early outings. Yet, Sunrisers Hyderabad showed promise in him, acquiring Aniket for INR 30 Lakh at the 2025 mega-auction, based on his performances on the U23 circuit. Aniket made an immediate impact in his debut TATA IPL season. He announced himself with a blistering 74 off 41 balls against DC in just his third match, walking in at 25/3 and smashing six sixes. Over the course of the season, he struck 20 sixes, underlining his reputation as a pure power-hitter. He carried that form into the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2025, finishing as Madhya Pradesh’s leading six-hitter with 10 sixes. If given a longer run, his ability to clear boundaries at will could make him one of SRH’s most exciting batting options.
