Hailing from Uttarakhand, Anuj Rawat is a left-handed wicketkeeper-batter who moved to Delhi at the age of 11 to pursue cricket. Known for his strong on-side play and ability to accelerate, Rawat has played for multiple franchises in TATA IPL. He was first picked up by Rajasthan Royals for INR 80 lakh ahead of IPL 2020, but opportunities were limited, with just two appearances across two seasons. A breakthrough of sorts came when Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured him for INR 3.4 crore in the 2022 auction. Over three seasons with RCB, he featured in 22 matches, including a standout 66 off 47 balls against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022, which earned him his maiden Player-of-the-Match award. Gujarat Titans signed Rawat for his base price of INR 30 lakh ahead of IPL 2025, although he did not get a game that season. He remains a developing option in their wicketkeeping-batter pool heading into IPL 2026.
