When bowling all-rounder Romario Shepherd was snapped by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 7.75 crore – it raised a lot of eyebrows since Shepherd was a relatively new name in Indian cricket circles. Shepherd though has been a regular in his domestic T20 league back in the Caribbean and holds the reputation of being a nippy fast bowler and a hard-hitter lower down the order. He impressed most in a T20I series against England in the West Indies - where he smashed an unbeaten 44 in just 28 balls in one of the T20Is. He also picked up a 3-wicket haul in the same series thus showcasing his all-round talent. Sunrisers would be wanting one of their top buys this season to come good in this edition of the IPL.
