A big match player, Robin Uthappa is back with the CSK for 2022 edition of the league. The Chennai Super Kings bought him for his base price of INR 2 crore at the 2022 Mega Auction. The unfailingly consistent and proven match-winner, Robin Uthappa, who has scored 4722 IPL runs, was traded to Chennai Super Kings by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2021 Player Auction. Uthappa had joined the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2020 season and played 12 games for them. Earlier, Uthappa was one of KKR’s star-turns in the title-winning effort in 2014 with an aggregate run tally of 660 runs. A career strike rate of 130.50 and a dogged approach at the top of the order, Uthappa once again is sure to give headaches to most opposition attacks in the upcoming season of the IPL.
