A power-hitting all-rounder, Sanjay Yadav had an interesting journey from being a fast-bowling all-rounder to a finger spinner and then a batsman who can strike long and hard. Originally born in Gorakhpur, the son of a daily-wage painter has made a name for himself in domestic cricket with some really eye-catching performances. On his Ranji debut when he shifted to Meghalaya, he picked up 9-52 from 22 overs. He was also in line to become the Ranji Trophy’s fastest triple centurion but his team had to declare the innings with him unbeaten on 254 off 228 balls. He was earlier picked up by SRH and will now be with MI for the 15th season of the IPL.
