A left-arm spinner and a handy lower-order batsman from Delhi, Pawan Negi is an ideal foil for the T20 format. He was picked by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) while still a teenager and showed promise with his all-round abilities. Ahead of the 2016 season, Delhi Daredevils picked him at the Auction for Rs 8.5 crores. It came at a time when he was awarded with a call-up for the Indian team in the T20 format – making his debut against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Asia Cup, 2016. Negi was also a part of India’s squad at the T20 World Cup. Since the 2017 season, Negi was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kolkata Knight Riders picked him ahead of the 2021 season.
