A seasoned campaigner with over 400 international wickets, Ishant Sharma has been part of the TATA IPL since its inception in 2008. He entered the league as a teenage fast bowling sensation, having already made an impression in international cricket. Early highlights included a five-wicket haul in just his third Test, and memorable spells against Ricky Ponting in India’s historic Perth Test win in 2008, which earned him a contract with Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural IPL auction. Over the years, Ishant has built a long and durable career, becoming one of only 14 Indian players to feature in over 100 Tests, with a best of 7 for 74 in a match-winning performance. In the IPL, he has represented multiple franchises, playing over 180 matches and picking up more than 150 wickets. Gujarat Titans secured him for INR 75 lakh at the 2025 auction, adding valuable experience to their pace attack heading into IPL 2026.
