Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a rising talent from Bihar, made history in 2024 by debuting in the Ranji Trophy at just 12, becoming the second youngest to do so for Bihar. Known for his elegant stroke play, he set a record with a 58-ball century against Australia U-19’s, the fastest by an Indian in youth Tests. His rapid rise saw him become the youngest player to earn a TATA IPL contract, with Rajasthan Royals securing him for INR 1.1 Crore during the TATA IPL 2025 Mega Auction. There was more history in store for the teenager as he not only became the youngest debutant in the league’s history last season, but smashed 101 off 38 deliveries against Gujarat Titans to become the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket. His hundred came off 35 deliveries, which is the second fastest in the IPL. Sooryavanshi then went on guide India U19 to World Cup glory in early 2026, ending up as the Player of the Tournament and a blistering 175(80) in the final vs England U19.
