ESPN awarded IPL Media Rights for US

MEDIA RELEASE
The Marketing Committee of the BCCI met in Chennai today, to decide the Media Rights of the Pepsi IPL for the US Region for the 3-year period, 2015 to 2017.
3 bids were received by closing time from M/S Willow, Times Internet and ESPN.
The rights were awarded to M/S ESPN INC at a total fee of USD 12.4 million for the 3-year period.
“We are delighted to have entered into a strategic partnership with one of the leading platforms of global sport, M/S ESPN, which will deliver the widest possible reach ever for the Pepsi IPL in the United States,” Sanjay Patel, Hony. Secretary, BCCI, said.
