IPL Technical Committee approves replacement for Corey Anderson in the Mumbai Indians squad for the Pepsi IPL 2015
Corey Anderson of the Mumbai Indians was scheduled to join the New Zealand Test squad in England, at the end of the league stage of the Pepsi IPL 2015.
He suffered injuries to his left hand on 14 April 2015 and 17 April 2015. The injuries have not healed in time for him to play in the league matches of the Pepsi IPL 2015.
The IPL Technical Committee has approved a replacement for him in the Mumbai Indians squad. If the Mumbai Indians choose to pick a replacement player, then he will be eligible, as per the IPL Player Regulations, to play in their remaining matches of the ongoing season, including the Pepsi IPL 2015 Playoffs, in case the team qualifies for the same.
The Technical Committee of the IPL consists of Anurag Thakur (Hony. Secretary, BCCI), Sourav Dasgupta, Subir Ganguly, Sourav Ganguly and Ravi Shastri.
