KXIP medium pacer Sandeep Sharma fined 50% of his match fee

Code of Conduct Breach

Sandeep Sharma, the King’s XI Punjab fast-bowler, was fined 50% of his match fee for showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during his team’s VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match against Gujarat Lions at IS Bhindra Stadium on Sunday 7th May.

Mr Sharma admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanction, as such there was no need for a formal hearing.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.
