Few batters in world cricket impose themselves on a T20 game as brutally as Finn Allen. A fearless opener with a penchant for explosive starts, Allen has built a reputation for dismantling bowling attacks inside the powerplay. Allen’s recent numbers only reinforce that reputation. In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, he hammered 298 runs at a strike rate of 200, including a breathtaking 100* off just 33 balls in the semi-final against South Africa. Over the last 10 months, he has notched up three T20 centuries. He also holds the New Zealand record for most sixes in an innings, smashing 16 in a single knock in 2024. Interestingly, Allen earned his maiden TATA IPL contract even before making his international debut, when Royal Challengers Bengaluru got him on board in 2021. Still waiting for his IPL debut, Allen joins Kolkata Knight Riders this season with an elevated reputation and can add more balance to their XI by doubling up as a wicketkeeper.
