One of South Africa's most exciting young prospects, Dian Forrester joins Chennai Super Kings during TATA IPL 2026 as an injury replacement for Jamie Overton. Forrester is a dynamic batting all-rounder who has quickly risen through the ranks of domestic cricket to the international stage, and combines elegant left-handed stroke play with sharp right-arm pace. Forrester announced his arrival in South African domestic cricket during a breakout 2023/24 season, where he amassed over 1,000 runs across formats and claimed nearly 30 wickets. Along with brilliant batting averages of 45.18 and 52.94 in First-class and List A cricket respectively, the 25-year-old also has a healthy bowling average of 26.27 in List A, including best bowling figures of 6/48. His consistent performances in domestic and T20 cricket, earned him a T20I debut for South Africa during their tour of New Zealand in March 2026.
