A talented right-hand batsman, KB Arun Karthik’s cricketing origins can be traced to Sri Lanka where he played for the Badureliya Sports Club before joining the Tamil Nadu team. The 27-year-old scored a century on his first-class debut against Karnataka in 2008-09 and sealed his spot in the state team. He went on to play for the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2010, before he was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2011. Arun Karthik proved his worth by scoring a last-ball six and winning the 2011 CLT20 game against South Australian Redbacks at Bangalore.
