Watson’s stint with the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2008 helped him make an improbable comeback to international cricket. After being sidelined due to injuries, Watson decided to join the Royals and emerged the Player of the Tournament in the first edition of the IPL. Also known as ‘Watto’, he is an attacking batsman with a solid defense. An athletic fielder and a medium-pacer who can swing the ball and pick up useful wickets, Watson played a crucial role in the Rajasthan Royals’ fortunes. The explosive batsman hit a record 15 sixes against Bangladesh in April 2011 and currently tops the list of most sixes in an ODI innings.
