Yusuf Pathan first made his mark as a hard-hitting batsman and off-spinner for the Baroda U-16 team. His ability to score runs quickly earned him a spot in India's squad for the inaugural World T20 in 2007. His impressive showing in IPL 2008, including a Man-of-the-Match performance in the final, earned him an ODI cap in the 2008 Asia Cup. Yusuf’s most memorable ODI performances are his 123* versus New Zealand and a blitzkrieg of 105 off 70 balls against South Africa at Centurion. He has won many games for his state, IPL and national sides. He has the uncanny ability to spring surprises and is labeled as a big match player. He has over the years provided some crucial batting knocks lower down the order to power KKR to memorable victories.
