Profile
| Birth Date | 04 January 1979 |
| IPL debut | 2012 |
Born in a village named Hathuran in Gujarat, India, Gulam Bodi migrated to South Africa as a teenager. He rose through the ranks of school cricket and went on to represent his adopted nation in the Under-19 World Cup. Starting off as a chinaman bowler, Bodi’s focus shifted to batting gradually. A broken finger put paid to his international ambitions but the Pro20 – South Africa’s domestic Twenty20 tournament – provided a shot in the arm to his career. A successful season with the Titans took Bodi to the Proteas squad for the 2007 World Twenty20. The Delhi Daredevils have inducted this experienced spinning all-rounder for the IPL 2012 season. Bodi, who now represents the Highveld Lions in the South African domestic circuit played in the CLT20 2012 for the SA team and amassed 208 runs from six games. An attacking batsman he adds to the batting depths of DD.
