KKR pacer reprimanded for using insulting language

Morne Morkel of Kolkata Knight Riders received an official reprimand for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah this evening.
Mr. Morkel admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.4) of using insulting language during the match.
For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.
In last evening’s match at Dubai International Stadium, Shane Watson of Rajasthan Royals was fined US$20 000 for maintaining a slow over rate during the Chennai Super Kings innings.
The 2014 season of the Pepsi IPL is well and truly underway.
The 200,000th ticket for the UAE leg was sold yesterday. Eight of the first fifteen match-days have been sold out, or are close to selling out.
Fans who want to savour the excitement of the Pepsi IPL 2014 in the UAE are advised to purchase tickets soon. Based on current forecasts, the only matches where tickets will be available on match-day at the stadium box office will be those played at Sharjah, on Sunday, 20 April, and Tuesday, 22 April.
