KXIP appoint R Sridhar as fielding coach

Former Hyderabad Ranji player joins the IPL team ahead of 2014 season

Kings XI Punjab today announced the appointment of R Sridhar as their fielding coach. R Sridhar is a former Hyderabad Ranji left-arm spinner who has played 22 years of top flight cricket in and for Hyderabad. He started his coaching career in 2001 and has also led the India under-19 in world cup 2014 as assistant coach.

Commenting on the announcement, Promoters of Kings XI Punjab said, “We are pleased to appoint R Sridhar as the fielding coach of the squad. He is a seasoned player whose contribution will add immense value to the squad. We are sure that he will prepare & encourage players to recognize and play to their strengths which will translate well for the team.”

Sridhar has been a tremendous player and I am certain that together by setting in the right techniques, we will be able to coach the team to play some great cricket this season.”
