MI continue tireless net sessions

Bhajji, Blizzard and Jacobs get batting practice at Wankhede

Mumbai 29 March 2012
Although it was a rest day for the Mumbai Indians some of the players who had joined only recently decided to practice their shots at the Wankhede Stadium here today.
David Jacobs, Aiden Blizzard and Amitoze Singh were among those who decided to come out and practice with the bat in the late afternoon. Wicketkeeper-batsman, Jacobs received some useful guidance from former South African cricketer Shaun Pollock.

As the batsmen enjoyed their time in the middle, Harbhajan Singh also joined in. The Turbanator, who has successfully chased totals for MI on occasion, worked on his batting skills for over an hour. The off-spinner led MI to victory in the 2011 CLT20 and he seems keen to lay his hands on the IPL trophy.

MI’s tireless practice sessions day after day are warning enough for the other teams that this Sachin Tendulkar-led side means business.
