MANUFACTURER’S LOGOS, MANUFACTURER’S ‘OFFICIAL PRODUCT’ LABEL AND MANUFACTURER’S ‘QUALITY FEATURE’ LABEL

 

34. The inclusion of one manufacturer’s ‘official product’ label and one manufacturer’s ‘quality feature’ label are permitted on each of the playing shirts, playing sweaters and playing trousers. These can be placed on the outer seams of the clothing and cannot exceed 3.22cm² (0.5 square inches) in size. These labels should not be construed as an additional branding opportunity.

 

PLAYING SHIRTS

 

35. One manufacturer’s logo maybe displayed in one of the positions B, D or E provided this position has not been used for a commercial logo.

 

T-SHIRTS (WORN UNDER PLAYING SHIRT)

 

36. No visible logos are permitted on t-shirts.

 

PLAYING SWEATERS

 

37. The position and size of the manufacturer’s logo on sweaters shall mirror those of the playing shirt.

 

PLAYING TROUSERS

 

38. One manufacturer’s logo may be displayed on the front of the playing trousers between the waist and the knee in positions L or M -not exceeding 10 square inches (64.5cm²) provided this position has not been used for a commercial logo.

 

SHOES AND BOOTS (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

39. One manufacturer’s logo may be displayed on the sole with no restriction on the logo size. Two further manufacturer’s logos may be displayed elsewhere on the shoes/boots (one of which shall be on the tongue) - not exceeding 12.9cm² (2 square inches). Stripes identifying the manufacturer shall be permitted; other design features and manufacturer’s identity shall be in a maximum of two colours.

 

BATTING PADS (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

40. Three manufacturer’s logos may be displayed on each pad as follows:

       On the front of the pad placed on either the instep or the knee roll (outside of the leg, not central) or above the knee roll (outside of the leg, not central) –not exceeding 25.81cm² (4 square inches).

       On the inside top of the pad -no size restriction.

       On one of the pad straps -not exceeding 25.81cm² (4 square inches).

 

BATTING GLOVES (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

41. Three manufacturer’s logos may be displayed on each glove as follows:

       Two on the back of the glove -not exceeding 12.9cm² (2 square inches).

       One on the inside of the wristband -not exceeding 12.9cm² (2 square inches).

 

WICKET KEEPING PADS (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

42. These must comply with the same rules as for batting pads, except that the single manufacturer’s logo allowed on the front of each pad may be placed on the centre of the top of the pad, above the knee roll.

 

WICKET KEEPING GLOVES (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

43. Two manufacturer’s logos may be displayed on the back of each glove. One such logo shall not exceed 38.71cm² (6 square inches) and the other shall not exceed 12.9cm² (2 square inches). Any visible stitching, ventilation, stencil effect, or other design aspect of the glove which is in the shape or form of the manufacturer’s logo shall be considered as one of the permitted logos.

 

 

THIGH PADS, SHIN PADS AND OTHER BODY PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

 

44. No logos are permitted to be visible, whether showing through clothing or otherwise.

 

ARM GUARDS

 

45. No logos are permitted.

 

PLAYING HEADWEAR (HELMETS INCLUDING EARPIECES, CAPS AND SUNHATS)

 

46.  One manufacturer’s logo may be displayed in position I –not exceeding 38.71cm² with no single dimension smaller than 3.81cm² (1.5 inches), provided this position has not been used for a commercial logo. No other manufacturer’s logo may be displayed in any position on the helmet or helmet grill.

 

FACE PROTECTORS

 

47. One manufacturer’s logo may be displayed in any position not exceeding 12.9cm² (2 square inches).

 

SOCKS (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

48. One manufacturer’s logo may be displayed on each sock –not exceeding 12.9cm² (2 square inches).

 

BATS (PLAYER RIGHT)

 

49. Front of bat - Any number and size of manufacturer’s logos may be carried but only within the top 22.86cm² (9 inches) of the face of the bat, measured from the centre of the top of the face.


Back of bat -
There is no restriction in size, number or placement of manufacturer’s logos that may be carried on the back of the bat as long as they do not exceed 50% of the total surface area of the back of the bat. When required to be carried, any statutory wording is to be placed on the back of the bat and to be of discreet design only (subject to relevant statutory provisions).


Edges of Bat - One manufacturer’s logo may be carried on either one or both edges of the bat, not exceeding 50% of the area of the edge of the bat.
